Same Day Appointment

To request a same day appointment for today (Monday to Friday):

  • phone us on 0141 550 7970 (option 1) Monday to Friday patients to call AT 8.30 to join our queuing system.  Once all the appointments have been taken for the day  and the GP's have reached capacity patients will be asked to call the following morning.

When you get in touch, we’ll ask you for a brief description of what you need help with.  Reception staff have been asked by the GP to request this information.  All staff at the surgery are bound by our Confidentiality Policy.

We will use the information you give us to advise the most suitable doctor, nurse or health professional to help you.

Face coverings may be required in the consulting room depending on your symptoms.

If you are late you will not be seen and will require to call again for another appointment.

The practice will not tolerate any verbal abuse directed to our reception staff once the appointments have been taken for the day. Staff are following the appointment system the GP's have put in place. We operate a zero tolerance policy which may result in a removal from the practice.

Your appointment

However you choose to contact us, we may offer you a consultation:

  • by phone
  • face to face at the surgery

Home visits

If you feel that you need a home visit please telephone the surgery before 10am if possible. This will enable the doctors to plan their day efficiently.

One of the doctors will telephone you back to assess your condition.

On average 4 patients can be seen at the surgery in the time that it takes to see 1 person at home. Please remember that not having transport to the surgery is not an appropriate reason for asking for a house visit.

When the surgery is close please telephone NHS111.

Cancelling or changing an appointment

To cancel your appointment:

  • phone us on 0141 550 7970 (option 4) Monday to Friday from 8:30am to 6pm

If you need help when we are closed

If you need medical help now, use NHS 24 or call 111.

NHS 111 online is for people aged 5 and over. Call 111 if you need help for a child under 5.

Call 999 in a medical or mental health emergency. This is when someone is seriously ill or injured and their life is at risk.

Hospital Transport

The responsibility for arranging transport to out-patient appointments now lies with the out-patients department of the hospital you are going to and not with your GP.

Your doctor will inform the hospital of your requirements when he/she refers you.
