Appointments

Times of Doctors’ Surgeries

Monday to Friday 9am to 12.00 and 3pm-5.00pm

Our appointments system for doctors is on a same day basis.

Patients are required to telephone surgery from 8.30am on the day they wish to be seen. Once the appointments for the day have been filled patients will be required to call the following morning.

Appointments are booked by the receptionists - call 0141 550 7970 (option 1)

Receptionists are trained to direct you to the most appropriate health professional to deal with your illness as this may not always be a GP.

Early morning appointments are available on request.

Nurse Practitioner Appointments

Our nurses are trained in dealing with minor illnesses e.g chest infections, ear infections, sore throat, coughs and urine infections.  Appointments are given out on a same day basis at 8.30am.

Nurse Appointments

The nurses consult by appointment only. Appointments range from 10 minutes to 30 minutes depending upon what the patient is attending for. Reception staff will advise you when making your appointment.

They are available Monday to Friday varying in times between 8.45 am to 4.30pm.

Interpreting Services

If you do not speak English the receptionist will ask for details of your nationality, spoken language etc. and organise an interpreter for you via the Glasgow Interpreting Services. Please note this can take up to 10 days to arrange. In an emergency, with your consent,  a friend or relative may be asked to interpret.

Chaperones

We understand that intimate examinations can be stressful and embarrassing. The GP’s will always obtain your permission before carrying out such an examination and offer you a chaperone. This can be a nurse or a relative or friend.

Cancellations

If you cannot attend an appointment for any reason please inform us as soon as possible in order for us to give the slot to someone else. We operate a removal of patients policy for  non attenders.
